CIVIL PROCESS SERVERS
ASSOCIATION OF TEXAS
NEW ACTION ALERT-
September 2011 through ???
Relating to New BOND REQUIREMENT
PUBLIC COMMENTS INVITED:

The Process Server Review Board (PSRB) has submitted for consideration by the Texas
Supreme Court a recommendation for certified process servers to purchase and maintain
a bond.  This recommendation is
not on the PSRB's web page.  This recommendation
can only be found in PSRB meeting minutes;

PSRB meeting Dec. 4, 2009:
Old Business Cont.-  "Constable Vojvodich made a recommendation to ask the Court to
implement a $5,000 bond requirement for process servers.  A vote was taken and the
motion passed."

The Court's decision will ultimately affect how much more time and money process
servers will be required to spend to maintain their certifications.  Comments on pending
recommendations can be submitted directly to the Court at any time.  Because it is not
known when the Court might act on any PSRB recommendation, anyone wishing to
comment should act as soon as possible.  Submit your comments to the Supreme Court
